If you want to achieve anything meaningful in your life, it will take exactly what the quote says: patience and time.  Never fading hard work over the course of this time will give us the tools to achieve what we desire.  Time brings understanding, we need to wait and have the patience in order to achieve our goals.

Summed up by someone who we are all familiar with.  We can have what we want, but it will take time to get there.  When we do reach our goals, a great deal of the satisfaction comes from the path we took along the way.
